So, what’s the verdict on Revitol Stretch Mark Cream? Well the outcome was excellent. I used the cream during my first pregnancy and did not get any stretch marks. Needless to say, I used it again when I was pregnant with Amelia. I still want to lose a few pregnancy pounds, but I will definitely be back in my bikini this summer.

In fact, it worked so well I gave some to my sister. She was pretty skeptical, having tried a number of products with little success. She was even considering an expensive laser treatment for her stretch marks. Well, it took a few week, but her stretch marks eventually started to fade. It did take a while, but now they are almost completely gone. So Revitol Stretch Mark Cream is effective in removing existing stretch marks.

Click HERE to visit the official Revitol Strech Mark Cream site

Some of the things that I really liked about the stretch mark cream (besides the fact that it worked so well) are:

The cream absorbs quickly – in about five minutes. Great with my busy schedule.

No offensive smell. I know some other stretch mark creams have a medicinal smell – no so with Revitol

Obviously, the all natural formula is a big plus

Money back guarantee – yeah I was also skeptical, but this put my mind as ease

If your pregnant and worried about stretch marks or already have stretch marks you should probably give this product a try. I mentioned above that they have a 90 day money back guarantee. So try it for a month and see if it works for you.

One of the main reasons I like Revitol Stretch Mark Cream is that the formula is 100% all natural. Also, the ingredients are proven to work in scientific studies.

Here are the exact ingredients:

10% Squalene Oil
(Olea europeae isolates) Squalene oil is naturally derived from olive oil isolates. It has very strong regenerative properties when used on skin as it is very similar to human natural skin oils . So when applied it acts much like a natural protector and stimulates regeneration of the skin surface. These properties make this ingredient essential to help reduce the appearance of scars: especially stretch marks. It is also a potent antioxidant and protects your skin from environmental damage while keeping it soft and healthy. According to MSNBC

Squalene, another phytochemical in olive oil, may inhibit cell changes and the activity of enzymes that can result in cancer.

Beware – some squalene oil is made from shark cartlidge, but the squalene oil in Revitol Stretch Mark Cream is made from pure olive oil

Vitamin E
The squalene oil in Revitol Stretch Mark Prevention cream is enriched with vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant and essential ingredient for skin regeneration. The effect of vitamin E on stretch marks is caused by its regenerative effect on skin. Vitamin E penetrates deeply into the skin to stimulate the growth of new cells, helping to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. As such, the stretch marks become thinner, shorter and fade over treatments. As vitamin E stimulates the production of new skin cells, it increases skin elasticity and firmness and helps in the regeneration process helping to reduce the likelihood of stretch marks appearing.

Vitamin A Palmitate
Vitamin A is an essential vitamin and is best known for having positive effects on vision. However Vitamin A is just as much important to the largest organ; the skin. Vitamin A may help improve the appearance of striae (stretch marks) and regulate epidermal (skin) cell growth.

According to Fox News:

Using vitamin A at the inception of pregnancy… is essential to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. This will help reduce inflammation and stave off the negative effects of the hormones in the skin. This cream… also helps remodel the collagen and elastin in the skin and improve its appearance.

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is necessary for new skin cell production and complements the function of vitamins A and E in the regeneration process of the epidermis. Normally vitamin D3 is produced in the upper skin layers upon exposure to sunlight. However, with our modern live styles it is difficult to produce the amount of vitamin D needed. When applied topically in high concentrations vitamin D3 also shows beneficial effects on cellular processes. This helps to increase the cellular activity around stretch marks and to rejuvenate skin.

DL-Panthenol
DL-Panthenol is the scientific name for pro-vitamin B5. It helps promote skin health as it works to improve the structure of both the lower and upper skin layers. DL-Panthenol soothes skin while stimulating cell growth and differentiation. This ingredient aids in the regeneration of the skin, therefore aiding in reducing the appearance of existing stretch marks. It also acts to prevent stretch marks by promoting collagen and elastin production.

Aloe Vera Extract
Aloe vera has been shown in clinical studies to have a positive effect on the skin. Aloe vera has been used for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Indians and Chinese to decrease the appearance of scars and to moisturize and heal skin. This extract from the aloe leaf protects skin from environmental factors and promotes skin regeneration.

Hubby did extensive research on this ingredient:

Aloe Vera is probably the most widely used ingredient in skin care products. However, there do not appear to be any scientific studies that prove the ingredient works or does not work.

My take is that aloe vera feels great and can’t hurt, so why not use it.

Grapefruit Seed Extract
Grapefruit seed extract also helps promote skin health. Grapefruit seed extract helps to promote collagen and elastin production, which strengthens and retextures the skin. As collagen and elastin are responsible for the skin’s elasticity, improving and stimulating production of the connective tissue cells. The condition of the skin’s connective tissue also dictates how well the skin contracts after pregnancy. So not only does this compound improve the condition of your stretching skin, after the delivery it will also aid in the contraction of your skin to its previous appearance.

According to the California Chronicle:

For preventing and smoothing out stretch marks you can benefit from Grapefruit Seed Extract. It works to get rid of stretch marks by restoring the damaged collagen and elastin in the skin. By using Grapefruit Seed Extract you will see your stretch marks becoming restructured into fresh skin.

Grapefruit Seed Extract is especially beneficial to rub on your body during and right after pregnancy. This will help to prevent stretch marks and return your skin back to its before-pregnancy shape and size quickly after the birth.

When I became pregnant with my first child (my son Ethan) I was worried about getting ugly stretch marks. This happened to my sister – no more bikinis for her! Just in case you don’t know stretch marks occur when the skin stretches too much (duh) like when somebody gains weight or becomes pregnant. I did some research and discovered that the skin actually tears and since these tears occur in a deep skin layer they can be very difficult to heal.

I was pretty happy with my figure – I liked the way I looked in a bikini (and so did my husband). My mother suggested using cocoa butter. But my hubby (the online research nut) read a New York Times article that reported on a large medical study that showed cocoa butter does not prevent stretch marks at all.

The largest study on the subject was published in 2008 by a team of dermatologists and obstetricians. It followed 175 women in their first pregnancies, some randomly assigned to apply a cocoa butter lotion each day and others assigned to use a placebo. Neither the subjects nor the researchers knew who was using which treatment. After many months, the researchers found no difference in the development or severity of marks, known medically as striae, over the abdomen, breasts or thighs.

But that same study did show that a special form of vitamin E, called tocopheral, was highly effective in preventing stretch marks.

For those looking for an alternative, scientists have found that vitamin E creams are more effective.

A bit more research led me to Revitol Stretch Mark Cream. The main ingredient is vitamin E and the cream claims it can prevent stretch marks altogether. I was a bit skeptical, but the online reviews were generally very positive so I decided to give it a try.

To any woman, both puberty and pregnancy, bring with them immense delight because both start the beginning of a complete new phase of their lives. However, like all good things, both these times in life come with their own problems that can be quite annoying. One common problem that has been haunting women since ages during puberty and pregnancy is the appearance of stretch marks.

Stretch marks spoil the mood of your newly acquired status and once they appear, they simply refuse to dissappear. It is very difficult to get rid of stretch marks when they start appearing. Therefore, let us today look at some effective tips to prevent pregnancy stretch marks altogether.

Diet

Diet plays a huge role in keeping your skin healthy and supple. Have plenty of fresh fruits and green vegetables when you are pregnant. Avoid smoking, alcohol and coffee as these dehydrate the skin cells quickly. Have at least 2.5 to 3 liters of water daily. Other than this have fruit juice, green coconut water and green tea all of which are good for your skin.

Exercise

As you probably already know, stretch marks appear when the skin is stretched beyond its limit due to fast and excess accumulation of fat underneath it and when the skin does not have the time to grow in proportion with it. Therefore, one way to prevent pregnancy stretch marks is to stick to the month-by-month weight chart as prescribed by your doctor. Do light exercises regularly so that you never gain more weight than you should. This will also help you tremendously to get back in shape after you have your baby.

Cocoa butter

Cocoa butter is one of the most popular remedies to prevent pregnancy stretch marks. Have your husband or partner massage cocoa butter on your belly each day. It will help prevent the lines as well as help both of you to have a good time together.

Vitamin E

Buy regular vitamin E capsules from a medicine shop and open them up. Apply the sticky cream that comes out of them on your abdomen. Vitamin E is excellent to keep the skin supple. You can also mix it with a moisturizing lotion to make you own anti-stretch mark cream and apply it on wet skin daily after bath.

Stretch mark creams

Stretch mark creams are extremely effective not only to treat but also to prevent pregnancy stretch marks. Many women are under the impression that stretch mark creams are to be used only if stretch marks appear, which is not the case. Doctors recommend using a good cream as a preventive measure also. Stretch mark creams are specially formulated to penetrate deep inside your skin, reach the dermis level and to keep the skin supple from inside so that there is no question of breakage in collagen and elalstin.

Common in pregnancy, stretch marks affect 50-90% of pregnant women. Eat a healthy, diverse and balanced diet that keeps your weight gain within the recommended range of 25 to 35 pounds. Stretch mark prevention will save you the trouble of getting rid of stretch marks once they’ve occurred.

It’s easy to get lost in the sea of stretch mark elimination methods. Before you pick a method however, it is well worth your time to first check what works and what doesn’t.

Myth #1: There are various surgical procedures to eliminate stretch marks.

As of the moment, abdominoplasty is the only surgical method that is known to have the highest chances of removing stretch marks. This method however will only eliminate stretch marks in the tummy area and is very risky and expensive. It is not even originally intended for stretch mark removal but for extra fat removal. Only those who are close to their ideal body weights and have only a little fat to remove are considered good candidates for abdominoplasty.

There are, however, other medical procedures for stretch mark such as dermabrasion and laser treatment. As most people would know however, dermabrasion is simply a more complicated form of exfoliation which is only a marginally effective method to eliminate stretch marks. Laser treatment on the other hand is a new method that does not have a long and proven track record in removing stretch marks.

Myth #2: Getting a tan can eliminate stretch marks.

Many people think that they can eliminate stretch marks by covering it up with a good tan. This however, will only serve to worsen the whitish appearance of stretch marks as the surrounding healthy skin darkens in color. This is because stretch marks are scars and if you’ve ever tried to tan a scar, you would know that they are particularly resistant to color changes. Most of us also know that tanning is not always very safe.

Myth #3: Apply make-up on stretch marks to cover it.

Make ups are not stretch mark solutions. These products do not eliminate stretch marks but just mask them. This may be a good technique but only for a limited time. Even the most water resistant make-up will eventually lose its grip at the beach or in the water.

Myth #4: Weight loss can eliminate stretch marks.

Just because stretch marks are basically caused by body expansion it doesn’t mean that you can eliminate stretch marks by losing weight. As scars, they will stay put even if you manage to agreed thin. You may however, be able to reduce your chances of getting stretch marks if you have never been overweight to begin with. A healthy diet and exercise can keep you from rapidly expanding in body size.

Myth #5: Stretch mark product is the answer to eliminate stretch marks.

The main reason why people don’t believe in stretch marks solutions anymore is because the market is simply overflowing with stretch mark products that just don’t work. These products put a bad name on reputable brands.

To get the best out of your stretch mark lotion or cream, make sure you read product specifications, contents and ingredients. If you have very sensitive skin, you would do better with an all natural product that will not expose you to dangerous side effects.

More than likely you have heard about stretch marks, and there is a good chance that you actually have a few of your own. So, you may be wondering how stretch marks actually occur. Well, what happens is that when skin gets stretched out due to quick growth, it can have a hard time bouncing back to normal. Often, instead of getting back to normal, the skin actually becomes scarred by stretch marks. In the beginning the stretch marks can look an angry red or even purplish. However, later they usually become less noticeable as a light silver or white color.

Stretch marks are basically scars that occur in the dermis of your skin. The dermis is the middle layer of your skin. It works to make sure your skin maintains its shape. When the dermis continues to be stretched out, it often breaks down and stretch marks are left behind. Women usually are more prone to develop stretch marks, but they occur in men as well, and in some cases they even occur to younger teens. The most common places for stretch marks to occur include the low back, the upper arms, the thighs, the breasts, hips, and of course the stomach area.

Options for Reducing Stretch Marks
While dealing with stretch marks can be very frustrating, youll be glad to know that there are a variety of options for reducing your stretch marks. Of course they may not always be totally successful, but although they wont totally get rid of the stretch marks, they can really help. The following are a few options you have to consider if you want to reduce the appearance of your stretch marks.

Option 1 Eat Right and Exercise First of all, you can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks by making sure that you eat right and exercise as well. Water is a key thing you need to take in if you want to prevent and treat your stretch marks. It will help keep your skin well hydrated and soft. Exercising can help to keep the skin nice and toned, which can also be a huge help. Eating foods high in vitamins and minerals is also important as well so your skin gets all the important nutrients that it needs.

Option 2 Over the Counter Creams There are many over the counter creams that are available for treating stretch marks. However, you should know that not all of the creams out there really offer results. Consider asking your doctor about these creams or even take some time to read reviews on various creams to find out if they really work on stretch marks and if they are worth the money youll have to pay for them.

Option 3 Surgical Options Last of all, there are some surgical options that some people turn to in order to get rid of their stretch marks. Laser treatments can help in some cases, and chemical peels and dermabrasion are also used as well. Just remember that these treatments are not always totally effective and they can definitely cost you quite a bit of money.

Do you passionately want to eliminate your stretch marks? Well, if you follow the steps outlined in this article, you can. Regardless, of whether your stretch marks are the results of losing an excesive amount of weight, body building, pregnancy, or putting on a few extra pounds, it is possibe to drastically reduce, if not totally eliminate, those dreadful stretch marks on your body. The key to preventing and eliminating stretch marks is constantly maintaining your skin’s elasticity by infusing it with moisture. If you have not moisturized your skin the best over several years, or maybe even months, you may observed that more stretch marks are appearing. Not to worry, I will teach you how to eliminate those stretch marks. Restoring your skin back to health is not a difficult task, but it will take patience and persistance on your part. Before we tackle the topic of how to eliminate stretch marks, it is equally as important to define what stretch marks are and where they come from.

What Are Stretch Marks and Where Do Stretch Marks Come From?

Stretch marks or striae, are a form of scarring on the skin with a silvery white hue. Stretch marks can appear anywhere on the body, along the side of your stomach, the bottom of your belly, the upper portion of your chest, the center of your thighs, and circumference of your posterior. Generally, stretch marks appear in places where larger amounts of fat are stored. Although, stretch marks are associated with people who tend to be overeaters and obese, stretch marks can be the result of a variety of things. Pregnancy, bodybuilding, weight loss, puberty, and intense physical activity can lead to stretch marks. Stretch marks actually develop when an increased level of circulating glucocorticoids enter the bloodstream. This hormone, which is secreted by the adrenal glands, becomes elevated during pregnancy, intense exercise, and puberty, causing stretch marks to appear. But, you can go through all these life events, and even stretch your skin without getting stretch marks. How? Well, it’s as simple as 1-2-3.

How Can I Eliminate Stretch Marks?

With a little self-maintanence, you can restore your skin’s elasticity. By following the steps bellow your skin wll be tighter, brighter, and more brillant than before.

Step 1: Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day: The first step to begin eliminating stretch marks is to work from the inside out. Drinking a sufficient amount of water is critical, because it ensures your body and tissues are properly hydrated. It also removes toxins from your body.

Step 2: Consume a Healthy Diet: By eating foods rich in essential fatty acids, such as fish, and protein and citrus rich foods like fruits, nuts and vegetables, your skin will become tighter, softer, and healthier everyday.

Step 3: The Stretch Mark Eliminating Secret: Keep your skin moisturized with vitamins and essential oils. Although, there are several lotions and creams on the market, such Palmer’s and Strivectin, I would avoid these. They contain primarily artificial ingredients, alcohol, and a little bit of Cocoa Butter or Emu Oil. This is simply not enough to prevent or remove stretch marks. You need several natural oils, butters, scar-heaing ingredients, and essential oils to attack these marks. I recommend a product that is not found in stores. Revitol stretch mark cream.

As with all things, the best products are often the hardest to find, because they are less marketed, due to their effectiveness. Hopefully, I can save you from wasting a lot of time and money on those nasty stretch marks.

And remember, to prevent stretch marks, you need to keep your skin infused with rich nutrients, vitamins, and moisture. Do not forget to maintain a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. Keep lotioning!

During puberty, many guys and girls begin noticing that they start to deal with stretch marks. This can be frustrating and you may be wondering if you are all alone in this problem. Actually, you aren’t. Puberty often leads to stretch marks for both guys and girls. You see, when you gain weight quickly or you grow really fast, stretch marks often occur. While the skin is designed to stretch, too much stretching can lead to skin scars that are known as stretch marks. So, if you are now beginning to notice some stretch marks on your body, you’re not the only teen that is going through this.

It Affects Both Girls and Guys
While you will notice that women often are more likely to deal with stretch marks, they can happen to guys as well. Usually stretch marks end up commonly affecting the stomach, thighs, buttocks, breasts, hips, and at times the upper arms as well. Of course puberty is not the only thing that can cause stretch marks. There are many body builders that end up with stretch marks and women often deal with them during pregnancy as well.

While at first you may notice that the stretch marks appear red and angry looking, don’t get too frustrated they won’t look like this forever. Over time they will get a lot lighter and they fade quite a bit until they are harder to see. However, even if you know they will fade away some, this may not make you feel the most comfortable in a bathing suit this summer. If you want to wear a bathing suit without fear, then there are some things that you can do to downplay your stretch marks so they are not as noticeable.

Get a Tan
No, I’m not talking about sitting out in the sun, but about getting a fake tan. Sunless tanning is a lot safer than getting an actual tan from the sun and this type of a tan can help to cover up your stretch marks. Regular tanning from the sun probably won’t cover the marks, but a good sunless tanning lotion or spray can provide you with some help. So, if you want to hide them while you’re in your bathing suit, try getting a sunless tan.

Wear a More Conservative Suit
If you have stretch marks that you don’t want to show off to everyone, you may want to consider wearing a bathing suit that is a bit more conservative. There are many choices available that can help you to hide those stretch marks on your skin. Suits that come with shorts are very popular and can hide marks on your buttocks and thighs. Also, higher necklines can be great for hiding any stretch marks that you may have around your chest area as well.

Important Information About Stretch Marks
Unfortunately, skin, when it is stretched out due to rapid growth, doesn’t just go back to normal. Sadly a form of scarring occurs when this happenAs, and it is called stretch marks. Stretch marks can be caused by quick weight loss, quick weight gain, and pregnancy, and at first they start off looking purple or reddish; however, later they fade a way to a white or silver color.

These stretch marks happen in the dermis of the skin, which is the middle layer of your skin which helps it to keep its shape. However, when this skin is being stretched constantly, the dermis may begin to break down, and this leaves scars behind, which are known as stretch marks. Both men and women can develop stretch marks, although women more commonly get them. Some of the places on the body where stretch marks can occur include the thighs, upper arms, abdomen, hips, lower back, and breasts.

What You Can Do About Stretch Marks
If you have stretch marks, you are probably wondering what you can do about these stretch marks to get rid of them. Well, there are a variety of different treatment options, although their success can be impacted by your skin tone, your age, as well as the diet that you eat. Here are a few of the options you can consider if you want treatment for your stretch marks.

Surgical Methods First of all, you’ll find that there are a variety of different surgical methods that can be used to treat stretch marks that you want to get rid of. Laser surgery can be used, as well as dermabrasion and chemical peels. While these treatments may not totally remove your stretch marks, they often can help to diminish their appearance.

Creams and Lotions There are many different creams and lotions that are available for over the counter stretch marks treatment. You may want to ask your physician which treatment he would recommend. Some creams and lotions are designed to help prevent stretch marks, especially during pregnancy. There are others that can help to diminish the appearance of your stretch marks as well.

Diet and Exercise Believe it or not, diet and exercise can help with stretch mark treatment as well. Drinking a lot of water is important. Keeping the skin hydrated will keep the skin soft and supple, which means it will be less likely to get stretch marks. Caffeine can actually increase stretch mark risks, so you may want to avoid drinking too much caffeine. Eating foods that have plenty of good vitamins like Vitamin C and Vitamin A can help you out as well.

Will Insurance Cover Surgery?
If you are considering surgery for your stretch marks, you may want to find out whether or not your insurance is going to cover this type of surgery. You’ll probably find that most insurance companies will not cover this type of surgery, since it is considered to be a surgery that is done for cosmetic purposes only. While there are exceptions to the rule, you should probably be prepared to pay for this surgery out of your own pockets.

Stretch mark removal is the biggest topic on the minds of people who suffer from them. That is very understandable since stretch marks can be such a nuisance. They can make you feel self conscious, and lower self esteem. Stretch marks are a form of skin scarring. They can occur from pregnancy, puberty, obesity, bodybuilding, and large weight gains in a short period of time. These things cause the dermis to stretch more than it can tolerate, thus stretch marks form. Good thing for us we live in today’s modern world where there are methods of stretch mark removal available.

When it comes to stretch mark removal there are 2 major methods that are geared directly for stretch mark removal, and 1 other method that can remove stretch marks, but is not geared specifically for it.

The first major method of stretch mark removal is laser stretch mark removal. In this procedure, a beam of light removes thin layers of skin. It does not cut or burn the skin; it uses ultraviolet light which causes the skin to disintegrate. Laser stretch mark removal can be very effective, but it is more expensive than using stretch mark creams. The total cost of laser stretch mark removal depends on the severity of the stretch marks, and the number of treatments needed.

The second method, it is the most effective, but it can only be used around the bottom of the abdominal area. The last method is the surgical method or the tummy tuck. In this process, excess skin is removed the lower abdominal area, then the skin is pulled tight. Any stretch marks are removed with the excess skin that is taken off. The surgical stretch mark removal method is effective it can only be used on the lower abdominal area, there is not yet a surgical method to remove stretch marks from other areas of the body. It is also the most expensive, and it has the longest recovery time.

Finally, there are stretch mark creams. Many of them just do not work. But I have tried Revitol stretch mark cream and can honestly say it does the job.
